With increasing digitalization and the intensive use of social media, more and more adolescents spend a large part of their time online. Alongside the many opportunities for communication and personal development, the risk of negative phenomena is also growing, particularly cyberbullying — systematic psychological violence, harassment, and humiliation in the digital space.

Cyberbullying can manifest in the form of insulting messages, the spread of rumors, public shaming, or exclusion from digital communities. These forms of violence often have significant effects on the emotional well-being of adolescents, their self-esteem, and their social behavior, and in some cases can lead to long-term psychological consequences.

It is crucial that children and adolescents are not left alone in such situations. Parents, educational institutions, and professionals play a central role in recognizing problems at an early stage and providing targeted support. Open dialogue and a trusting environment are essential prerequisites for the prevention and effective handling of cyberbullying.

Within our organization, there is a specialized department dedicated to digital safety and the prevention of cyberbullying among adolescents. We support those affected, provide counseling to families, and promote competencies for the safe and responsible use of digital media.
