School Furniture from the City of Düsseldorf for School Bomb Shelters in the Chernihiv Region

The UkraineHilfe Düsseldorf project has launched a large-scale campaign to support schools in the Chernihiv region with furniture for school shelters donated by the City of Düsseldorf. The initiative will continue throughout the summer holidays. Due to the region’s proximity to the Russian border and the constant threat of air attacks, ensuring safe conditions for the educational process remains one of the key challenges.

The first 40-ton truck carrying school furniture has already been sent to the city of Chernihiv. Three city schools have received our assistance. The donated desks and chairs will be used to equip learning spaces in school shelters School administrators and representatives of the education authorities expressed their sincere gratitude for the support. For us, this delivery is only the beginning: throughout the summer holidays, we plan to continue collecting and sending school furniture to the Chernihiv region. The school year in Ukraine, as in North Rhine-Westphalia this year, will begin on 1 September.

Our goal is to help Ukrainian children continue their education safely, even during air raid alerts. If you would like to support the safety of Ukrainian children during their education, you can find all our contact details here:
