“Sicher engagiert” Arrives in Bonn

With the kick-off meeting of the funding programme “Demokratie im Netz 2.0” at the Federal Agency for Civic Education (bpb) in Bonn, a new phase of collaboration in the field of digital democracy and civic education has begun. At the end of February, all project partners came together for the first time. The aim was to get to know each other, define shared priorities, and gain insights into the planned projects.

“We had an intensive exchange on innovative approaches to strengthening digital democracy,” said project lead Michael Bücker. “At the same time, the foundation for further cooperation was laid, networks were established, and key connections for the upcoming project phases were created.”

Beyond these updates, there are currently extensive discussions within our field about the announced cuts to funding for democracy initiatives. The vast majority of organisations and stakeholders have issued statements or taken part in open letters. Should you wish to address this topic, further in-depth preparation would be required. The decision, of course, remains entirely yours.
