The preventex Team Participated in the Conference on Preventing Islamist Extremism in Münster

Despite the summer heat, the preventex team attended the conference “Attractive Fundamentalism – Continuities and Paradigm Shifts in Research and the Prevention of Islamist Extremism”, organized by the State Agency for Civic Education of North Rhine-Westphalia and ufuq.de, in Münster from June 24–25, 2026.

Over the two days, participants engaged in lively discussions, attended expert presentations and panel sessions, took part in interactive workshops, and collaborated on practical case studies in working groups.

One of the most valuable aspects of the conference was the exchange with representatives from civil society, schools, law enforcement, academia, and politics. These diverse perspectives and open discussions provided valuable insights and fresh ideas for our prevention work and future projects.

We sincerely thank the organizers and all participants for two inspiring days. We are returning with many new ideas and valuable impulses for our ongoing work.
