Thomas Jarzombek, member of the CDU parliamentary group in the German Bundestag and Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Minister for Digital Affairs and State Modernization, visited AVP Düsseldorf for an open exchange with young people.

From 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., an engaging and intensive dialogue took place at Hansaallee 247 — featuring open questions, honest conversations, and direct discussions about politics, digitalization, and the future of our society.

In recent years, we have repeatedly visited members of the German Bundestag in Berlin, including in 2022, 2023, and 2025. This time, however, was something special: through ongoing dialogue and continued exchange, it became possible to invite a member of parliament directly to our organization.

The young participants had the opportunity to ask their prepared questions personally and engage in open discussion. Topics included:

– rising living costs

– fears and uncertainties about the future among young people

– compulsory military service

– digitalization

– social justice

– and whether pensions will remain secure for future generations.

It was a respectful, engaging, and important exchange that allowed young people to experience politics directly and personally — not only through the news or social media.

Thank you for the visit and the open dialogue.
