Professional Exchange and Strong Momentum: “Sicher engagiert” at the German Prevention Congress

Presenting, networking, and connecting: together with other partner projects, the new project “Sicher engagiert”showcased its work at the German Prevention Congress in Hanover and engaged in dialogue with a wide range of participants. The German Prevention Congress is regarded as the world’s largest conference on violence prevention and related fields. “With our commitment to combating online hate, we are very well positioned here and able to present our work to a broad audience,” said project lead Michael Bücker on site.

With its online initiatives, AVP has long since gained recognition far beyond the city of Düsseldorf and across Germany. This became evident time and again in discussions with representatives from security authorities, civil society, and academia. “Of course, we don’t just want to present our own expertise—we also want to exchange ideas and build networks with other stakeholders,” Bücker added. “It is always highly enriching to incorporate as many perspectives as possible into our work.”
